Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance

We’re getting right to the pod today, because Cabinet Ministers are busy people. Especially so, when the cabinet minister in question, has responsibilities for not one but two portfolios!

The Honourable Randy Boissonnault is our guest today.

First elected as a Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre in 2015, Mr. Boissonnault is the Minister of Tourism and the Associate Minister of Finance. He’s also Canada’s Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on LGBTQ2 issues. A graduate of the University of Alberta, he went on to study at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. Minister Boissonnault is also a successful entrepreneur, community leader, and philanthropist with a strong record of leadership in business, public service, and the not-for-profit sector.

So, that’s where we’re going to start:  We’ll find out a little more about the Minister’s personal story today. Then we’ll dive right into last week’s budget. And since he’s one of only two Liberal MPs from Alberta, we’ll talk Alberta politics for a while.
